Our Mission

Building Confidence

The greatest thing a child can wear is confidence. Giving Threads' mission is to boost confidence and self esteem of underprivileged junior high students. We endeavor to decrease the bullying and teasing that comes at this difficult age when a student doesn't feel like they fit it due to their second hand and very worn clothing.
We believe every student should have the opportunity to own new, name brand clothing that hasn't been passed down and purchased at thrift stores.
Feeling great in your clothes is a powerful tool for success.

About

Giving Threads was founded in 2016 by Jessica, Kyrsten and Alicia Dalton.

We work with local junior high schools  to identify students that are in desperate need of new clothing. Many of these students have been bullied and teased because of their 2nd hand and very worn clothing.

These students are hand selected by local school counselors, principal and staff. These students are then taken on supervised group shopping trips to local department stores, where they are given a budget and gift cards to purchase new clothing.
